It depends if and when your grass starts growing and when your sheep start Ovulating depending on your breed of ewe in the Autumn as a general rule . If your grass doesn't grow you have to supplement with forage & feed , meaning extra cost of production , this might be offset if you get a higher price for the lamb if sold earlier before the price drops .Always been the question as none of us are Mystic Meg.
