    10,000 cash deposit to secure a bidders number ?. It seems excessive to me. Would that level of "entry fee" not exclude a percentage of potential buyers who could afford some of the many "less valuable" lots. I have not attended this specific type of auction, but similar auctions I have attended required a bid card deposit of between 500 and 1000. Is a 10,000 bidders card deposit considered normal nowadays ?.
