    Grassland Spraying

Have some thistle, nettle and ragweed on grazing ground which im going to attempt to get rid off. Is there a spray I could use with a knapsack to spot treat so I could avoid taking the cattle of the ground.

    Many thanks

As far as I'm aware the answer is no.

All Pesticides will have a withholding period and it depends on the one used how long it is. I have spot sprayed and weedwiped for people and as soon as you're finished they turn stock into field even though they have been told about needing to wait for a week.

Docks, thistles, nettles won't be eaten by livestock when growing or dying so safe enough to spray. Ragwort becomes edible and more palatable as they die so better not to spray unless cattle are removed for at least 2 weeks. Used Pastor successfully in previous years spot spraying from quad.

Going good thanks. Had given the whole online thing (forums, Facebook, twitter) a miss for a year but thought I'd check in again and see what's happening.

How did you find the BDGs?
We all have our own preferences in the what we do and how we do them.

BDGs are ok if nothing else on and have collected a few quid hosting 3 farm visits and attending 3 sets of meetings. Helps a little with falling sfp for a year! They are much the same as forums some contribute a lot, some look on, still guarded in what is said, Its helped meet a few different people from other areas and see that everyone has their own ideas.
