    Unplanned Pregnancy

So, we were turning out the yearlings in the Spring and discovered one of the heifers was in-calf

She started to calve on Friday night and the vet had to take it out the side. Mother and daughter doing fine (so far )

This makes the mother just under 16 months. Has anybody had problems registering something like this? I haven't tried yet, just looking for a heads up on what, if anything, to expect.
Will it throw up warnings on their system?

It might be an issue, but your vet being there as a witness to attest it came out of that animal is a plus!!

It's not unusual. We would always be wary of selling heifers store if they had recently been with a bull.

Yes, I'm sure it'll be fine. It's the first one we've had since passports started, though.

I think we'll jag the oldest of the heifer calves after speaning this year as a precaution against it happening again
