Pre em effectiveness reduced in DD

Just about to drill my spring beans which of cause will get a dose of Pre em but do People think it is a lot less effective with DD as most of the spray is landing on residue from previous crop

When it rains it will be washed from the residue into the soil....no problem

    the way i view it:

if it rains heavy after conventional drilling- crop damage

if it rains heavy after dd - perfect

if dry after convnetional drilling- doesnt work as well

if dry after dd (esp low disturbance) - doesnt work but youve got a mulch thats gonna stop many blw's anyway

got the nirvana for my beans but not gonna bother, can stay in shed until next year given the forecast.

try using intracrop predict to reduce degradation of residuals

Haven't used pre emergents for years. And now with Pulsar resistant sunflowers better than ever. Same with soya, wheat, rape. Though maybe we have more post emergent products available than north west Europe.
