Depends on breed or type ,a fat over fed Texel or a grass only reared Lleyn ? foe example.
Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.

IMHO texel ram lambs are too small to tup ewes although some use them on a few to see that they're fertile for following year. Used charrolais ram lambs on ewes successfully but they're earlier born, so older and seem much bigger. Haven't had much fortune with texel shearlings recently with very short lives, lameness at tupping, sub/infertility all leading to a high ram cost per lamb sold.

No , but good results from a New Zealand Suffolk https://www.easy-rams.co.uk/easy_ram_suffolks.htm the biggest difference is that they are much better grazers than UK Suffolks , their lambs suit a grass only system . I would expect the Texels would do the same , infact I know of someone locally who has been very pleased with them.
