    50kW 'ish Turbines

I'm trying to find out all the options out there around the 50-100kW bracket (closer to 50 than 100). So far I have found

    GHREPOWER
    Coemi
    Harbon
    Endurance
    ReDriven
    Polaris
    Seaforth
    WES
    Northwind
    C&F
Aeolos - are these still on the go?

Anyone got any additions to my list or any views on these. It is particularly difficult to find out the number of units already in production for some making me suspicious as to their abilities in real life as opposed to claims. I believe the ReDriven and Coemi are mostly manufactured in China but maybe others are too. I think GHREPOWER is Korean.

WES. They now do 50kW as well as the 80kW that they have done for ages. They do bigger ones too. Made in Holland

MYRIAD the agent/ intaller might be woth a phone call. They had an open day on a farm at Dundee for a turbine that they got up. I think it's about 50-100kw but it could be bigger. Sorry I can tell you any more cause I never went but machine has been up since last summer anyway.

Just added Aeolos to the list but their website only has news up to 2009 - are they still in the running?

I never realised WES now do a 50kw, its a massive improvement asthetically on their older models. I saw a WES 80 today and they are bloody ugly!

Hi in answer to your question I have a Harbon from your list and I am delighted with it and especially the on going support from the company which means everything. It's up and generating well so what more could you want.

We have a WES 18 (80kW) on site. Waiting on SSE to give us a grid connection. Ask again in 20 years.

There is one here on Orkney installed just over a year ago. There are a few in the pipeline.

It was suggested to me that perhaps WES should have used more than the back of a fag packet to design the nacelle cover. They also could have chosen a more unobtrusive colour than that royal blue. We are intending to paint ours white/light grey
