The guy driving the Model F through the gateway is Derek Mellor from Derbyshire.

Now that name rings a bell. I was pointed in his direction when trying to find infomatioin on the Old Samson tractor we had (borrowed). He must be a leading authority on old iron wheeled tractors.

Derek & his wife are pioneers in vintage tractor preservation, back in the early NVTC days. They have restored some very rare tractors.

We have a Agrihazzard board game, had it since the 70's. It's sort of like monopoly only with farms, stock, and Ford tractors.

    Yes.

Great tractor, crap engine! All top end and no guts. The B series is far better. Not that I really liked hacking at such a classic (IMHO).

    .....after fitting the B series.

Unfortunately things move on and needs change so it's going to have to go.

It does have a Fordson major 4 cly engine, so maybe it's allowed here!. I do about 35 acres of barley each year for crimping. She goes well on the road and often go quite a few miles. No dust as the crimped grain is 35%. A very enjoyable 3 days combining which I look forward too. No messing about taking the header off. Could do with some more power for the hills and a bigger grain tank. No other machine on our farm pays for its self after 3 days work! Our neighbours often joke to us, that as an organic farm, we dont need a combine!

Here is our MFT. I do about 700 hrs a year doing all dairy farm work. It is getting worn out, but what else to buy! Am needing a seal kit for the manual MFT spool leavers - does anybody know?

Nice MFT, how many were made ? I reckon they will go up in value eventually as other Ford conversions have.

My late uncle had one at his engineering business throughout the 70s & 80s........from what I could gather it had previously had a grab on the front for loading coal

Difficult one. It's only worth what someone will pay for it really. It's not original but all the parts taken off have been kept. It has 40 weights too. 10 wheel, 16 under the nose and 14 on the front.

Clean original ones seem to make about 11K -12K. I'm thinking less for this but I'm not sure how much really. If it gets too low I'll just keep it.
