    Suction control valve

John deere 6930 didn’t want to start today. This is the second time in a week.

“Fault code ECU 157.17 Fuel rail pressure not developed. Check SCV & common rail pump contact”

my plan is to change the fuel filters & a fuel pipe that is weeping. Remove the SCV to look at it’s condition. “Common rail pump contact” I guess this means sensor plugs need checking with a squirt of wd40.

can it be cleaned up? There is a YouTube video of a SCV parts being polished to remove light pitting.

Does anyone know the manufacturer part number to avoid JD prices? I’ve read there is an old & newer version

    Or any other advice

Check the wiring to the fuel SCV and the contacts in the pins on the pressure sensor on the bottom of the fuel rail.
I fit genuine denso valves that I get from our local Euro Car Parts. They are about £100. I will get you the part number.
