    Clearing cookies doesn't cure the problem anyway, so it's neither here nor there.

    That explains how to change the settings in vBulletin to make the read/unread threads thing work properly.
    At the moment it is set to mark them read even if they aren't.

    That sounds about it dave, Sam_tm has marked it up for blue to read. You had better luck than I did last night trying to google for help!!

    Setting now as per the article. All users will now have every post/thread marked as "unread" as it has reset everything.

    Best thing is to read posts up to where you know you got to before, then you can go to the toolbar in top RH corner, look for "Forum Tools" and click the arrow, from the dropdown box you can now click "mark forum read" which will clear ALL the markers in that board only.

    In the bark blue toolbar under "Forum Actions" you can find "Mark Forums Read" click this and the WHOLE forum read markers are reset in one go


    Hopefully this will make it behave the same as the previous version did.

    Well it's working for me FF, so assume everyone the same. Makes the forum really easy to use. Even the refresh on the back-button in OSX works so I can see whether I've read it or not whichever way I get back to the previous page.
