    Diesel

On this "side of the pond" in the 1950s, 60s, they used to add paraffin (kerosene?) to engine oil in diesel heavy equipment at night in the winter - it would thin the oil out so the engine would start easier and by the time the engine was warmed up in the morning, it would have all evaporated.

Drain existing oil, put about 6 gallon of cheap multi purpose oil mixed with 6 gallons of diesel, 50/50 mix, no more than 12 gallon max.
Run the tractor like this at 1200 rpm for about 20/30 minutes, do not drive it.
Next drain this mix out & fill to level with new multi purpose oil, change oil filter & use like this for a couple of days.
Next drain off this oil & fill using hytran oil to level or equivalent, change filter again & you should be fine.
