Grammer seating service/manuals & parts info

Have the Bateman RB26 in at the moment and one job was to look at the Grammer air seat. Once off a lot of its problem is the integral air tank has a flimsy monkey-metal bracket that had broken, having fixed that with a bit of engineering/metalwork I checked the seat over and then hunted around on the web and came up with this excellent source of info for the grammer range from their USA site - freedom of info rules there often mean you can find a lot of manufacturers info that is hidden here.

That's useful. I had a new compressor off Ebay for a seat last month. Exactly the same pump and make for 2/3 the price in a JD box.
Don't itch for something if you're not prepared to scratch for it.

Thats not difficult with many brands, to be fair there is a cost involved to get a part on the counter whether it be a stock item or specially brought in, but there is also some additional hidden costs, for example when manufacturers have that part there on the counter tomorrow especially if it has come form Europe or further during busy seasons, when you compare the service we expect with what is often offered in say the car industry then perhaps we are spoilt a bit but, as you say when something OE is extortionately more expensive it becomes hard to justify it doesn't it?
