    Tyres (again)

Can anybody tell me the weight / speed ratings for the following

710/70/42 it also has 173A8 on the sidewall

I used to have a Michielin book with these this in it but the "magic office fairy" had spirted it away :lolk:

Im thinking that the tyres ar about maxed out on our application i.e. cyclic loading/speed/weight. But im struggling to find the right info on a tyre website at the moment.
So hopefull the good folks pn BFF will be able to help ?

    Are they Michelin tyres?

The Machxbib tyre has a load/speed rating of 173A8/173B TL

Here's a link to Michelin agricultural tyre information website:

Red we have Michelin, BKT, Firestone & Vriedstien on our 18ton muck spreaders and having a few problems will the beads splitting/nipping.
think something to do with load /speed/ pressure maybe ?

Im just going to do some home work on it, but dont know what the solution maybe if i decide it a over weight issue

    Thanks all

According to my Michelin databook, a 710/70R42 Machxbib is 173A8/173B rated.

At 40k, max load is 6500kg at 32 psi, or same at 50k. 4550kg for 40 and 50k at 17 bar.

    Hope that helps

Andy Balfour at Michelin may come and do that, or will get their rep up your way to come and weigh the tractor etc.
