    Vintage tractor registration

How do I register a vintage tractor so it can be taken on a public highway?

The tractor has been in the family since 1958 and purchased new, it was last registered in 1984.

We would like to keep the original log book.

    Thanks.

Sometimes it can be facilitated via a vintage club. If you have the original number plate and log book plus machine numbers you stand a good chance with DVLA.

try the club/society for the make of tractor, they may have persons who have experience of doing it and also have guides/advice how to go about it. I'm recall it maybe one of the David Brown groups who had a reputation for dealing with this, could be wrong but I'd try finding help there

The OP hasn't told us what make of tractor it is but if it is a DB then make contact with Peter Murray. He knows the ropes with DVLA and has helped many achieve their aim.
