MST & PARKINS UNDER NEW OWNERS
    The Longhouse Group takes over

Westcountry agricultural, horticultural and engineering suppliers, Medland, Sanders & Twose, along with sister company Parkins Industrial Supplies, have for the past six decades been a part of the Lowman Group, owned by the Heathcoat-Amory Family.
However this changed on the 30th May when the business was purchased by The Longhouse Group, a new South West private investment business founded by two former AIM-listed plc CEOs.
Longhouse was created by Nigel Godefroy, former CEO of £40m turnover waterfront regeneration specialist Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, and Simon Foster, former CEO of £150m turnover engineering support services company Redhall Group plc.
Working with existing management, Longhouse invests in or acquires South West businesses where it sees an opportunity to achieve growth. Its aim is to create a sizeable diverse portfolio of like-minded ambitious businesses.
Longhouse’s first deal is the 100% acquisition Medland Sanders and Twose Limited (MST), based in Tiverton in Devon, from the Lowman Manufacturing Co Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Commenting on the sale of MST, Lowman Chairman Sir Ian Heathcoat Amory said: “Longhouse sees real potential in MST and is committed to growing the business. The executive support thus available to the management team can ensure those ambitions are met and that is good news for the Company and its employees.
The £12m turnover business, which employs 80 staff, includes sister business Parkins Industrial Supplies, also in Tiverton, which offers brand name equipment and consumables to engineering, welding and construction trades.
