My best Stabiliser bull calf last year was 775kg at 400days which equalled 1.8kg DLWG. He was an ET calf so I kept him. Got 30 calves out of him this spring and he's currently running with 44cows.

He was always reared in a contemporary group - on his dam til weaning then ad lib silage and gradually moved up to 6kg per day so less than a tonne concentrates.

I would post a photo but don't know how to do it off iPhone!!

Id say the performance of your bull is alright but depends alot on his feeding. If he was on a store winter he done good enough

not been over feed. as i have no other bulls/steers the same age to run with he has been running with 3 heifers (friends) since april. not easy to get feed into him in feild with them around.

Looks good to me with good weights for a hereford at that age, keep him going for another 12 months on a store/protein diet and he will be double the size this time next year.

The fencing wire is just on top of the ground, and the posts aren't in far enough but are OK just about (18" something like that). It was put up by the previous people to keep their stallions in. Only got a few fields like that but it's very useful.

sire is Free town Freeman (border benefactor) out of a border rory heifer

mine will be pulled in in the next couple of weeks as currently on rough grazing and isnt getting any feed.

Hard to tell without putting them next to each other (mine dose look better in the flesh) but i think yours would have it atm
