That was a bit more than I made it, I try and keep the inputs to a minimum, a BLW spray in the spring and try and keep to a couple of fungicide applications if I can plenty of muck so not too much out of the bag. Thanks for reply at least I know I'm not way of the mark.

I don't do business like that and don't expect other to

anyway - I care not, my straw selling days are over and I no longer have to deal with such dishonest people, a couple of thousand ac less on the market every year making what does get baled even more expensive for you all, no one to blame other than people like the idiot that has just messed me about
Clive, you may understand your own business, but you seem to have little grasp of other peoples business. I suppose being selfish is a recipe for success!

Over here it has been a very difficult season, we have only just finished combining, the weather has been atrocious and still is.

Apart from the weather, we have had the problem of fungicides. Some people who used the right spray firm have had huge yields together with green, green straw. It has even been difficult to chop the straw. I know of one combine using 130 litres an hour, plus at least five main belts! Others like us with the wrong spray supplier had dead straw , but no corn!!
I suppose you choose between slug pellets and difficult cultivations, or high fuel use and timeliness.

The guy you complain of was quite correct, he wanted the straw, but when it was combined it was too wet, so he had a problem.

He had another problem, he should never have tried to buy straw from you.

In any case, no one wants wet straw, especially not Drax.
