Best tractor ever made?

I think it is a "point in time" thing crossed with what the tractor was going to be used for.

Each generation of tractor included additional "features" from 3-point hitch to PTO to 2-stage clutch to hydraulic buckets to cabs to heated / AC to 4wd to big horsepower to . . .

A better question would be - what were the "lemons".

SAME 100.4, bought new 17 years ago, owner driven, not a minutes trouble with it. Only had to replace battery last year. Quality item. Gonna buy a VIRTUS 130 next.Major value for money serious standard spec compared even to comparable DEUTZ.

Just out of curiosity, What in your opinion is the best tractor that's ever been made new or old?

Has the be the John deere 10 series wnd the 6000 series worked 3 of em for 15 years plus and never gave a problem we had a 6600 with a 6610 engine and a 6610 with a quad box and a 6910 auto power even tho the auto power was an experimental gear box at the time and was know to be faulty but still it never gave us any problems

Just out of curiosity, What in your opinion is the best tractor that's ever been made new or old?

Also the Mercedes mb trac ahead of its time owned one for about 20 years and tried and tested against 3 jd 10 series and a 7700 and she out pulled all of them the torque and power they had along side the air brakes and suspension and air horn,front linkage never gave a single problem in 20 years savage grain and silage tractor could take mowers low loader work anytbing u threw at it

Surely the MF 100 series? I have 3, all still available for work whenever I want!


Got to admit though, none are as pleasant to drive as the MF4225. Superb cab!
