    was looking at the trimble VRS signal
    Anyone got a idea of cost pre year

    I think when we were looking it was going to be 1200 a year, i'll have to check to make sure.
    Ended up with our own mobile base.

    Iv'e been very pleased with it this year, swapped from Trimble VRS NOW on vodafone which was shite last year

    Don't waste your money on VRS we found it unusable on Voda bit better on Orange but still poor due to signal loss.Have used Essential net for Drilling which seems better but still has it's moments.
    A mast seems the only way for RTK.

    VRS is good if you can't get essentialsnet, unfortunately we are just too far away from essentialsnet base so we kept getting RTK float, but Jim and his team are spot on to deal with.


    If they put a base up in the Cotswolds then I'm sure we'll go back to them as we now have two autopilot machines, it would make it most cost effective!

    What part of the country are you in as we are part of the RTK network which is in the eastern counties. RTK is the only way to go to save you a lot of time messing around waiting for signal to come back when you lose it. We have an 8 metre drill and that is exactly what you put in the box, not 7.85 or 7.95 etc.
