Were pleased with our harvest on 165mm GS rainfall, I guess you could say around average as far as yields, prices were good.

Looks just like here last harvest - except perhaps it looks a bit warmer, slightly drier and lighter in the evenings

And to think if you cut the tree down so you didn't have to work around it you wouldn't have such a amazing picture

Curious, why are the 10.5 drill widths wide like that? seems 7.5 is common.

Hey Richard, Is there an advantage that wide, over here in Wisconsin we grow wheat/barley etc at 7.5, if we went wider, weeds would take over.

I'm new to the wheat game here. Only about to start 3rd season. Were focused on spuds mainly with 2500 acres cereals as a sideline.

I'm aiming for less soil disturbance to reduce moisture loss,
Less power to pull a given width machine,
Less triflurilan premergent chem damage from soil throw to adjacent rows with knife points,
Hopefully better grain quality though shall know on this come December,
Cheaper establishment through less fuel and less wearing parts to replace,

Our rainfall is 300 mm average, last year was under 200 with only 100 through growing season so needs to keep costs down.

Broadleaf weeds will get sprayed. Not too bad for ryegrass and brome grass due to chem fallow and rotation.

    Richard
