    Agricultural memorabilia

    Anyone collect any 'agricultural stuff'?

Today there was a Cheffin sale to auction the many pieces of workshop equipment & agricultural machinery that the late Bill Etherington had collected over his lifetime.

There were a few unusual lots ... including 195 - Cast iron Case dealers eagle statue, standing on the World with a metal base

Any guesses how much it made?

    Wow again .

I'm not in to memorabilia type stuff at all, I assume then that it is quite unusual?

    No, not my scene either.
Just been doing a bit of googling & found out that the eagle was called "Old Abe". He was the Case trademark from 1894-1969 http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/articles/artint51.htm
But I guess Bill must have known all about that!
