    A trick for a cold winter morning!

    This appeared on my FB page, interesting idea, wonder how easy it'd be on a nice big old work horse!!

    Hmmmmmm, be quicker to walk into town, buy a new starter motor, walk back, install it, have Christmas dinner...............

    And if the strap does snag you will end up with your car wrapped around the pto shaft.

    Pity that all my PTO switches are electric.

    and all my pto's have guards over the complete shaft!

    I saw that slip clutch looking real nasty and exposed, makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

    I so wanted that strap to snag so I could see the world's fastest car winch and bumper removal Would the whiplash claim come off the car or tractor insurance? I wonder how many idiots will have a wreck after they watched that.

    I assume that the tractor has a dual clutch setup for it to work so technically if the attendant had half a brain cell they would same as with a tow start etc just clutch once engine is nearly running. The whole purpose of the excercise still seems pointless and most machines don't have a slip clutch arrangement of that type!!!

    Very few tractors have a PTO clutch like this nowadays.... most need hydraulic pressure to lock up..

    They have this sort of starter motor for F1 cars - hand held motor with a shaft that spins the engine over stuffed in the back!
