    Farming Today, today.

Farming Today came from Oxford Real Farming conference. For once I agreed with Patrick Holden, the organic bloke. He pointed out that grass fed beef, sheep, and dairy are sustainable, and carbon positive. He pointed out that Professor Boyd did not know what he was talking about in proposing planting half the country with trees.

Jack - I don't know about the UK but I have seen it said that the average Canadian creates 15 Tons of Carbon per year - about 1/4 of a tractor trailer load of logs. That is no where near as much carbon as my 65 acres of near mature forest removes every year from the environment.

Just trying to put things into perspective.
